Welcome to Scritix (“we,” “our,” “us,” or “Scritix Studio”), operated by Sai Charan Chillal. By accessing or using our website at scritix.com and our desktop applications for macOS and Windows, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue the use of our services.

2. Description of Service

Scritix is an advanced creative writing and story production workstation designed for screenwriters, authors, novelists, and poets. Features include screenplay formatting (Courier Prime, Fountain, Final Draft .fdx import/export), novel chapter binding, syllable-analyzed poetry creation, character relation matrices, visual storyboards, lookbooks, table-read audio synthesis, and AI creative assistance (Gemini 2.5).

4. Accounts & Free Trial

• 6-Month Free Trial: All new registered writers receive an unrestricted 6-month trial to test all production features. No credit card or billing details are required to start the trial.
• Account Confidentiality: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and preventing unauthorized access to your account.
• Security & OTPs: Account registration and verification utilize secure one-time password (OTP) codes delivered to your verified email address.

5. Subscription Plans, Billing & Taxes

Following the free trial, writers may purchase a commercial Pro subscription pass to maintain access to professional production features, advanced AI assistance, and unlimited exports:

• Monthly Pass: ₹199 / month (India) or $9.99 / month (Global).
• Quarterly Pass: ₹499 / 3 months (India) or $24.99 / 3 months (Global).
• Annual Pass: ₹999 / year (India) or $59.99 / year (Global).

Payments are processed through certified, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateways (Razorpay for domestic UPI/NetBanking/Cards, international cards, and global transactions). All prices are displayed in your region’s applicable currency (INR or USD) inclusive of applicable taxes.

6. Acceptable Use & Anti-Piracy Policy

You agree not to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Scritix Studio client software.
• Distribute pirated licenses, crack software pairing keys, or bypass authentic licensing checks.
• Use the Gemini AI assistant to generate illegal, hateful, defamatory, or infringing content.
• Attempt to disrupt our server infrastructure, API endpoints, or user databases.

7. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or terminate your account at any time directly through your Account Settings on scritix.com. Upon cancellation, your Pro features remain active until the end of your prepaid billing term, after which your account reverts to read-only access.

8. Limitation of Liability

Scritix operates as a sovereign cloud and local-first software application and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Creative manuscripts, novels, poems, and project files are synchronized via Scritix Cloud to your authenticated account and cached locally on your device for offline resilience. Authors maintain 100% intellectual property, legal copyright, and complete custody of their creative files and are encouraged to export regular copies of their work. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scritix and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
