1. Introduction & Commitment to Writer Privacy

At Scritix (“we,” “our,” “us”), operated by Sai Charan Chillal, we believe that creative writing requires absolute confidentiality. Your screenplays, character concepts, unpublished novels, and poetry are your most valuable intellectual assets. This Privacy Policy details the exact types of information we collect, how it is used, and the strict safeguards we employ to protect your privacy.

Sovereign Cloud & Local-First Architecture · 100% Author Ownership & Privacy

Scritix operates with uncompromising author-sovereign privacy. Your screenplays, novels, and poetry manuscripts are backed up via encrypted Scritix Cloud synchronization directly to your authenticated author account, while remaining cached locally on your device for fast offline resilience. Scritix never sells, monitors, trains AI models on, or claims ownership of your creative work. You maintain 100% intellectual property, legal copyright, and custody of all your manuscripts.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Credentials

When you register on Scritix, we collect your verified email address, full name, and authentication status. We do not require or collect phone numbers, passwords (passcode-free OTP auth is used), or personal identity documents.

B. Billing & Transaction Information

When you purchase a Pro subscription pass, all financial transactions are processed by our certified payment gateway partner:

  • Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. (for UPI, NetBanking, RuPay, domestic cards, and international credit/debit cards)

* Scritix never views, handles, or stores your credit card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, or bank credentials. We only receive a secure tokenized transaction ID, payment status, and invoice receipt reference.

C. Technical & Operational Data

To prevent malicious bot traffic and maintain security, Cloudflare and Vercel edge networks process standard HTTP headers including IP country (for automated currency localization), user-agent, and anonymized performance metrics.

3. Artificial Intelligence (Gemini 2.5) Policy

When you use the AI Co-Writer, Scene Doctor, or Lookbook features:

  • Only the specific prompt text or scene snippet you request assistance with is transmitted to the AI API over an encrypted SSL/TLS connection.
  • Zero Training: Under our enterprise API agreement, your creative manuscripts and story prompts are NOT used to train or fine-tune public AI foundation models.
  • Your prompts are processed ephemerally and returned directly to your workstation.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and synchronize your screenplay projects across Web, Mac, and Windows.
  • To issue account authentication and security OTP verification emails.
  • To process Pro subscription licenses, upgrades, and generate official GST/export tax invoices.
  • To detect and prevent payment fraud, bot attacks, and software piracy.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or creative writings to advertisers or data brokers. Information is shared strictly with essential infrastructure partners:

  • Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd.: Secure payment processing, international card handling, and invoice settlement.
  • Neon Inc.: Encrypted serverless database hosting for user accounts and license pairings.
  • Cloudflare Inc. & Vercel Inc.: Edge CDN, DDoS mitigation, and SSL transport security.

6. Data Retention & Your Rights

You maintain complete control over your data:

  • Right to Export: You can export all scripts, books, and poems at any time in industry-standard Fountain, Final Draft (.fdx), Markdown, or print-ready PDF formats.
  • Right to Deletion: You may delete your account and profile records at any time by emailing support@scritix.com. Because creative manuscripts are stored strictly on your local computer or synced desktop folders, your manuscripts remain solely in your personal custody.
